Preparation of a new adsorbent from a biomass

Abstract

The objective of this study is to prepare an adsorbent from animal bones using pyrolysis methods by chemical activation with phosphoric acid, , The study was started by optimizing the factors influencing the process as a function of mass yield and the specific surface area of the prepared adsorbent. the results of the processes show that the specific surface area of the prepared adsorbent reaches a value of 171.948 m2 / g, for a maximum mass yield of 60% to 57% with an acid surface of pH = 4.8.
