Abstract

Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) is a public key cryptography, which is based on the arithmetic of elliptic curves, and security of the hardness of the Discrete Logarithm Problem (ECDLP).The principal attraction of elliptic curve cryptography is that it offers a level of security equal to the existing public key cryptosystem by a smaller key-size. The basic Elliptic Curve Cryptosystems such as Diffie-Hellman key exchange and Elgamal encryption scheme are vulnerable to man-in-the-middle attacks. In this paper, we propose a new public-key encryption algorithm by ensuring the authenticity of the cipher text using Elliptic Curve that is less susceptible in man-in-middle attack
