The present study was based on the species of the genus Bacillus which are considered to be the group of bacteria most frequently identified and used in the field of biological control, knowing that the most widely marketed biopesticide in the world is a bacterium. entomopathogenic; Bacillus thuringiensis. In addition to preliminary studies of the use of these entompathogenic bacteria on insects, protocols for the extraction of toxins and antibiotics and research for hydrolytic enzymes were also studied. Very motivating results were obtained, these bacteria have shown their ability to produce very specific secondary metabolites, diversified and effective against very formidable insect pests belonging in particular to the order of Lepidoptera, Coleoptera and Diptera such as the βexotoxin produced by Bacillus thuringiensis and surfactin purified from Bacillus subtilis.
