This requirement is usually satisfied by incorporating some form of Power Factor Correction (PFC). In this project, an Active Power Factor Correction (PFC) circuit based on boost converter with its control system will be introduced, which is a relatively simple and low- cost circuit. The design and simulation of boost converter with Average Current Mode control in Continuous Conduction Mode (CCM) will be presented in order to achieve a high switching frequency and power factor, with a low total harmonic distortion and high efficiency.enPower factor correction (PFC)Boost converter : Design and simulationHarmonic distortionLow harmonic distortion and high efficiency power factor correction based on boost converterThesis
