Item Automaion and remote management of cathodic protection of pipelines system(Université M’hamed Bougara de Boumerdes : Institut de Genie Electrique et Electronique, 2023) Ghormrani, Amani; Belaidi, Hadjira (Superviseur)In the realm of corrosion prevention methods, two broad categories exist: electrical and non-electrical approaches. While non-electrical methods encompass coatings, sealers, and corrosion inhibiting admixtures, cathodic protection falls under the electrical approach um- brella. Its main goal is to shift the reinforcing steel into a protected state and, consequently, prevent corrosion. This project aims to develop an automated and remotely managed cathodic protection system for pipelines. The proposed system utilizes a master code to communicate with smart voltmeters and collect voltage readings and establish a web-based dashboard for displaying the collected data. In addition, the system includes a control module that allows for the adjustment of the cathodic protection parameters remotely (probe distances, description). The proposed system is expected to improve the efficien cya ndeffectiven es sofcatho dicpro- tection systems, while reducing maintenance costs and increasing the lifespan of pipelines.Item Kinect-based collision-free path planning for mobile manipulators(2016) Boulahya, Ala Eddine; Belaidi, Hadjira (Superviseur)The objective of this project is to generate, in off-line, a path (trajectory) without collision for a mobile base (mobile base with an arm) in an indoor environment which is complex dynamic and cluttered with obstacles the case of reaching tasks. The generated free path must joint an initial situation of the robot base, (XB, YB, ZB) init , to a predefined final position, (XB, YB, ZB) End . In order to move the form an initial situation to the final goal while avoiding any obstacles (using a technique of soft-computing), the robot will operate a kinect camera. The implementation and validation will be performed on the mobile manipulator RobuTer/ULM available at the DPR CDTA.Item Microgrids resiliency using multi-agent system communication technology(Université M’hamed Bougara de Boumerdes : Institut de Genie Electrique et Electronique, 2024) Attou, Lina; Belaidi, Hadjira (Superviseur)Nowadays, communication and data exchange are key factors for the resilience improvement of a microgrid (MG) against natural disasters and play a pivotal role in the energy management (EM) fields .Hence ,the main objective of this project is to improve MGresilience and control its energy management system (EMS) using a multi-agent system (MAS) communication approach. First, the proposed work optimizes the load power consumption inside one MG based on the available power resources; then, the strategy is expanded to optimize power usage to improve resilience when dealing with many MG systems. The simulation of the multi-microgrid (MMG) system is done using both MATLAB Simulink and Cisco packet tracers. Various scenarios are simulated to evaluate the performance of the MAS in maintaining flexibility, stability, an dresiliency. The Cisco packet traceris used to model the communication network to ensure a robust and secure data exchange between agents. The results demonstrate that the integration of MAS communication technology significantly improves MGs’ power management.
