Active power filter impact on power quality improvement for industrual plant supplied by photovoltaique station
    (2023) Bourourou, F.; Tadjer, S. A; Habi, I.
This work deals on industrial electrical power quality improvement using an active power filter (APF) based on fuzzy logic controller. The studied system is a PV conversion chain used to supply linear and non-linear industrial loads of 200 kw plant. The PV station is modeled then simulated under Matlab Simulink, with standard conditions consideration in the first time then under real irradiation and sun power variation during the day hours, to obtain the true parameters design of the PV station to be able to give the needed power during the climatic conditions changing. APF parameters design and control loop structure are well studied to have an optimal control. MPPT technique is used in PV station control with the P&O algorithm. Also PV panel fault diagnosis has been done by using alarm for fault indicator and protection over under power. Simulation results are analyzed and discussed comparison with real signals, produced by the FLUK 6001B reference source with the use of the PRS 600 and the Teledyne 3,5 GHz-40Gs/s oscilloscope as measurement instrument, to improve the effectiveness of APF on electrical power quality, THD, amelioration and harmonic minimization in the industrial installation

An approach in the improvement of the reliability of impedance relay
    (2008) Ouahdi, D.; Ladjeroud, R.; Habi, I.
The distance protection mainly the impedance relay which is considered as the main protection for transmission lines can be subjected to impedance measurement error which is, mainly, due to the fault resistance and to the power fluctuation. Thus, the impedance relay may not operate for a short circuit at the far end of the protected line (case of the under reach) or operates for a fault beyond its protected zone (case of overreach). In this paper, an approach to fault detection by a distance protection, which distinguishes between the faulty conditions and the effect of overload operation mode, has been developed. This approach is based on the symmetrical components; mainly the negative sequence, and it is taking into account both the effect of fault resistance and the overload situation which both have an effect upon the reliability of the protection in terms of dependability for the former and security for the latter

Determination of the optimal preventive maintenance of the reserve source in the industrial electric network
    (2006) Bouguerra, M.; Meglouli, H.; Habi, I.
The great majority of the electric installations belong to the first and second category. In order to ensure a high level of reliability of their electric system feeder, two power supply sources are envisaged, one principal , the other of reserve, generally a cold reserve (electric diesel group). The principal source being under operation, it’s control can be ideal and sure, however for the reserve source being in stop, a preventive maintenance’s which proceed on time intervals (periodicity) and for well defined lengths of time are envisaged, so that this source will always available in case of the principal source failure. The choice of the periodicity of preventive maintenance of the source of reserve influences directly the reliability of the electric feeder system. On the basis of the semimarkovians processes, the influence of the periodicity of the preventive maintenance of the source of reserve is studied and is given the optimal periodicity

Improvement of the reliability of the industrial electric networks
    (2007) Bouguerra, M.; Habi, I.
The continuity in the electric supply of the electric installations is becoming one of the main requirements of the electric supply network (generation, transmission, and distribution of the electric energy). The achievement of this requirement depends from one side on the structure of the electric network and on the other side on the avaibility of the reserve source provided to maintain the supply in case of failure of the principal one. The avaibility of supply does not only depends on the reliability parameters of the both sources (principal and reserve) but it also depends on the reliability of the circuit breaker which plays the role of interlocking the reserve source in case of failure of the principal one. In addition, the principal source being under operation, its control can be ideal and sure, however, for the reserve source being in stop, a preventive maintenances which proceed on time intervals (periodicity) and for well defined lengths of time are envisaged, so that this source will always available in case of the principal source failure. The choice of the periodicity of preventive maintenance of the source of reserve influences directly the reliability of the electric feeder system In this work and on the basis of the semi- markovian’s processes, the influence of the time of interlocking the reserve source upon the reliability of an industrial electric network is studied and is given the optimal time of interlocking the reserve source in case of failure the principal one, also the influence of the periodicity of the preventive maintenance of the source of reserve is studied and is given the optimal periodicity

Optimization of the structures of the electric feeder systems of the oil pumping plants in Algeria
    (2007) Bouguerra, M.; Laaouad, F.; Habi, I.; Azaizia, Rachid
In Algeria, now, the oil pumping plants are fed with electric power by independent local sources. This type of feeding has many advantages (little climatic influence, independent operation). However it requires a qualified maintenance staff, a rather high frequency of maintenance and repair and additional fuel costs. Taking into account the increasing development of the national electric supply network (Sonelgaz), a real possibility of transfer of the local sources towards centralized sources appears. These latter cannot only be more economic but more reliable than the independent local sources as well. In order to carry out this transfer, it is necessary to work out an optimal strategy to rebuilding these networks taking in account the economic parameters and the indices of reliability

PV plant integration effect on industrial control applied on DTC-SVM of PMSMG
    (IEEE, 2022) Bourourou, F.; Tadjer, S.; Habi, I.
this work deals with a new approach based on production power system control strategy based on the Permanent Magnetic Synchronous Generator supplied by inverter connected to PV plant. For that, a mathematical model of the chain simuled on Matlab environment was developed with mixing control techniques, using on load side converter of direct torque control, DTC, based on space vector modulation, SVM, where the PI regulator assure the speed and the DC-bus voltage control. Simulation obtained results of the system are presented and analysed to improve the performance of the used correctors and show performances

Three-Dimensional Fuzzy Logic Controller Applied to Rocket Target Traction
    (IJAS, 2023) Bourourou, F.; Habi, I.; Tadjer, S.A.
This paper deals with the three-dimensional fuzzy logic technique applications on target traction, where Rocket target traction is a complex process that requires precise control systems to ensure accurate targeting and trajectory. Traditional control systems have limitations in their ability to account for complex and nuanced conditions, leading to less accurate targeting and less efficient use of resources. Three-dimensional fuzzy logic is an advanced approach to control systems that allows for more precise and nuanced evaluations of conditions, leading to more accurate targeting and more efficient use of resources. In this article, we'll explore the application of three-dimensional fuzzy logic to rocket target traction, the benefits of this approach, and examples of its application in real-world scenarios using Matlab

Using the schunt active power filter for compensation of the distorted and umbalanced power system voltage
    (2008) Habi, I.; Bouguerra, M.; Ouahdi, D.; Meglouli, H.
In this paper, we apply the PQ theory with shunt active power filter in an unbalanced and distorted power system voltage to compensate the perturbations generated by non linear load. The power factor is also improved in the current source. The PLL system is used to extract the fundamental component of the even sequence under conditions mentioned of the power system voltage
