(Université M’Hamed Bougara Boumerdes : Faculté des sciences, 2023) Berkane, Rihab; Kahouli, Amina; Mougari, Nihad; Reggam, A. (Promotrice)
Aquaculture occupies a special place within agriculture since it generates products (fish, crustaceans, molluscs, algae) of the same nature as those from maritime and inland fishing from natural resources at reasonable prices. Tilapia is a freshwater fish, belonging to the Cichlidae family. Within continental aquatic systems in tropical Africa, Cichlidae constitute major fisheries resources, distinguished by their predominant abundance within the continental ichthyological fauna, with approximately 143 genera and 900 species. The objective of this work is to understand the situation of aquaculture in Boumerdès and to study the ecological and biological characteristics and fish farming of red tilapia in order to estimate its potential for applications in aquaculture, feeding of fry of tilapia, recommends the average value of 50% crude protein, The influence of density on growth and mortality is also an important element to consider.
