Item Mechanical wind pumping system based on hydropumped storage(IEEE, 2022) Achour, Djalloul; Kesraoui, MohamedIn this paper, a new pumping system where a controlled storage has been integrated to a classical mechanical wind pumping system is proposed. The new system consists mainly of a wind turbine, a controlled storage and a piston pump. The objective of this developed system is to improve the standard system global power efficiency. First, a literature survey over what has been done up to now on wind pumping and pumped storage is presented. The details of the proposed system design are given. Then, the advantages of this new system compared to a classical one are shown. Finally, the developed wind pumping system and the standard mechanical wind pumping system were simulated in order to prove that the proposed system has the best results in terms of power efficiency and stored waterItem Strategy of detecting abnormal behaviors by fuzzy logic(IEEE, 2017) Chebi, Hocine; Acheli, Dalila; Kesraoui, MohamedThis work falls within the framework of the video surveillance research axis. This work falls within the scope of video surveillance. It involves a link between automatic processing and problems related to video surveillance. The job is to analyze video streams coming from a network of surveillance cameras, deployed in an area of interest in order to detect abnormal behavior. Our approach in this article relies on the new application and the use of fuzzy logic in the case of division and fusion of the crowd. The detection of these behaviors will increase the speed of response of the security services in order to perform accurate analysis and detection of events in real timeItem New concept of wind pumping system : introduction and state of the art(IEEE, 2020) Achour, Djalloul; Kesraoui, MohamedIn this paper a new concept of wind pumping system that combines the advantages of the mechanical wind pumping system and those of the electrically powered one is proposed. The system consists mainly of a wind turbine, a DC machine and storage facility. The whole system will be controlled in a goal to improve the total power efficiency. First, a literature survey over what has been done up to now on wind pumping is presented. The details of the proposed system design are given. Then, the advantages of the proposed system compared to actual ones are shown. Then since this system is a part of an accepted PRFU national research project 2020-2024, an Algerian windy site for its intended implementation is suggested. Finally the three wind pumping systems are simulated to prove that the developed one has the best resultsItem Energy Management and Control of a Hybrid Water Pumping System with Storage(Pléiades Publishing, 2017) Lazizi, Aldjia; Kesraoui, Mohamed; Achour, Djalloul; Chaib, AhmedThis paper aims to define a control and management strategy for water pumping system which would be powered by a hybrid PV/diesel generator system with battery storage. The particularity of the proposed power management method is to ensure the water volume in need and to maximize the use of PV generator while limiting the use of the diesel generator. In order to capture the maximum power from PV generator, a fuzzy logic maximum power point tracking controller is applied. On the other hand, a PI regulator is used with a boost converter in order to adapt the voltage of the battery bank to the DC bus. The water flow of the pump is also controlled. The developed power management and control strategy has been implemented using SIMPOWER toolbox in Matlab/Simulink. The obtained satisfying simulation results prove the efficiency of the proposed solution that assures continuous supply of water and electricityItem Fuzzy logic MPPT control for a solar PV module applied to water pumping(Inder Science Publisher, 2016) Lazizi, Aldjia; Kesraoui, Mohamed; Chaib, AhmedIn this paper, the fuzzy logic control for maximum power point tracking (MPPT) of a solar photovoltaic (PV) module in water pumping application is presented. A PV system including a solar module, a DC/DC boost converter, a fuzzy MPP tracker and a resistive load is modelled and simulated for various atmospheric conditions. The P-V and I-V characteristics are first obtained for various values of solar irradiation and temperature. Also, the increased efficiency of the photovoltaic system using MPPT is computed and plotted. The fuzzy control method is compared with the perturb and observe (P&O) method in one hand and with an improved P&O technique using artificial neural network (ANN) in the other. The fuzzy MPP tracker is then applied to the water pumping system composed of a solar panel, DC/DC boost converter, DC/AC inverter, induction motor and centrifugal pumpItem Grid Connected Solar PV System: Modeling, Simulation and Experimental Tests(Elsevier, 2016) Kesraoui, Mohamed; Lazizi, Aldjia; Chaib, AhmedIn this paper a solar PV system is modeled, simulated and experimentally tested. Mathematical and electrical models have first been presented. A theoretical background which introduces the topic has been presented. The system's different components have also been described. Then a simulation work of the current voltage (I-V) characteristics and efficiency by using MATLAB/IMULINK has been performed. Finally a PV system installed in the Institute of energy systems and electrical drives at the Technical University of Vienna has been tested. Many disturbances and cases like blackout, load disconnection and islanded system have been investigated. In this mainly experimental work, three test situations have been performed and the corresponding measurements have been recorded. Results that have been obtained showed that the grid connected PV system responds adequately to all the applied disturbancesItem Fuzzy Logic Maximum Power Point Tracking Control for A Solar PV Module(2020) Lazizi, Aldjia; Kesraoui, Mohamed; Chaib, AhmedIn this paper, the fuzzy logic control for Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) of a solar photovoltaic is presented. The P-V characteristics are first obtained for various values of solar irradiation and temperature. Then the increased efficiency of the photovoltaic system using MPPT is computed and plotted. The fuzzy control method is compared with the Perturb/observe (P&O) method in one hand and with an Improved P&O technique using Artificial Neural Network (ANN) in the other hand.Item Complex systems modeling and faults detection, using neural networks and genetic algorithms(2015) Beddek, Karim; Kesraoui, MohamedItem Signal-Based sensor fault detection and isolation for PMSG in wind energy conversion systems(IEEE, 2017) Beddek, Karim; Merabet, Adel; Kesraoui, Mohamed; Tanvir, Aman A.; Beguenane, RachidItem Optimization of the artificial neural networks structure for filtering applications in wind energy conversion system(2015) Beddek, Karim; Kesraoui, Mohamed; Merabet, Adel
