In Artificial Intelligence (AI), Reinforcement Learning (RL) is one of the most important technics of Machine Learning (ML), an initial introduction to these fundamental technics is given in Chapter 1, which serves as an introduction before exploring deeper reinforcement learning techniques. In Chapter 2, an exploration of (RL) methods including Model-Based (MB) and Model-Free (MF) learning is introduced, then digging into two important algorithms; Policy Iteration (PI) and Q learning. Since this document contains a simulation, it is essential to develop a comprehensive coupled tanks system model using physical and mathematical laws such us the principle of mass conservation. This model will outline the key components and dynamics of the system, providing a foundation for accurate simulations. Chapter 3 details the construction and parameters of the system model. Finally, Chapter 4 introduces the application of reinforcement learning (RL) algorithms to control the liquid level in our coupled tank system. It includes a description of the MATLAB implementation results, followed by an overview of the results.Item Control strategies for the synchronization of identical interconnected dynamical systems(Université M’Hamed Bougara Boumerdès : Faculté des Hydrocarbures et de la Chimie, 2025) Aissat, Asma; Derouiche, Nour; Beddek, Karim (Promoteur)This Thesis addresses the synchronization of identical interconnected systems under both continuous and discrete communication. While continuous exchange offers ideal conditions, discrete communication reflects real-world constraints such as limited bandwidth and digital implementation. To ensure synchronization, we design state feedback and predictive control laws that account for sampling-induced delays. The proposed methods are applied to a leader-follower scenario and extended to autonomous vehicle platooning, where agents coordinate through sampled information. Specifically, the focus is on the isolation valves, which were previously operated manually. We decided to switch these valves to automatic operation to ensure the efficient operation of the programs and to facilitate the simplest possible method to isolate the compressor, thus avoiding possible problems.Item Passage de la logique câblée à la logique programmée d’un système de fluidisation de «Silo»(Université M’Hamed Bougara Boumerdès : Faculté des Hydrocarbures et de la Chimie, 2024) Larbi, Anis; Beddek, Karim (Promoteur)Le Travail que nous avons effectué consiste à passer de la logique câblée vers la logique programmée afin de rendre le système de fluidisation de silo d’homogénéisation de la cimenterie de Ain-Touta (SCIMAT) plus performant, tout en améliorant les caractéristiques et éliminant les inconvénients actuels, Pour cela nous avons compris d’abord notre schéma de câblage puis réaliser notre programme sur TIA Portal afin de l’insérer dans un automate S7-1200. Nous avons aussi créé l’interface homme-machine (IHM) à l’aide de logiciel WinCC Runtime afin de visualiser le fonctionnement de notre système et mieux cerner les pannes.Item PLC control systems in natural gas processing : solutions for back pressure problems(Université M’Hamed Bougara Boumerdès : Faculté des Hydrocarbures et de la Chimie, 2024) Berkane, Aimen; Debbeche, Aimene Anis Taki Eddine; Beddek, Karim (Promoteur)This Dissertation addresses back pressure issues in industrial air dryer systems by replacing check valves with solenoid valves and a cam timer with a PLC. Conducted at Sonatrach GL1/K, the study achieve the reengineered setup using Triconex PLC and AVEVA InTouch HMI software, confirming improved functionality and reliability. This solution solves back pressure problem, enhances performance of the air dryer and reduces maintenance costs.
