Abstract

This Thesis addresses the synchronization of identical interconnected systems under both continuous and discrete communication. While continuous exchange offers ideal conditions, discrete communication reflects real-world constraints such as limited bandwidth and digital implementation. To ensure synchronization, we design state feedback and predictive control laws that account for sampling-induced delays. The proposed methods are applied to a leader-follower scenario and extended to autonomous vehicle platooning, where agents coordinate through sampled information. Stability analysis is carried out using Lyapunov theory, and MATLAB simulations confirm the effectiveness of the proposed strategies under various conditions.
