Diagnoses and mitigation of the corrosion due to the electromagnetic coupling between the HVPTL and buried pipeline
(IEEE, 2019) Ouadah, M'hamed; Touhami, Omar; Ibtiouen, Rachid; Bouzida, Ahcene
The aims of this paper are the diagnosis and the mitigation of the corrosion induced by the HVPTL onto the buried pipelines. To do this, firstly the magnetic field and the induced alternating current density onto the buried pipeline were calculated. Then, the effect of the alternating current densities induced onto the pipeline was characterized by the electrochemical measurements. The obtained results were shown that the induction caused by the high voltage power lines (HVPTL) affects the electrochemical character of the buried pipeline and accelerate their corrosion. However, one technical solution was proposed to mitigate the pipelines from alternating corrosion

Dynamic eccentricity fault diagnosis in induction motors using finite element method and experimental tests
(Inder Science Online, 2017) Bouzida, Ahcene; Abdelli, Radia; Touhami, Omar; Aibeche, Abderrazak
This paper presents the dynamic eccentricity (DE) in the squirrel cage induction machine obtained by the simulation using finite element method (FEM) and the experimental tests. Motor current signature analysis (MCSA) through the power spectral density (PSD) is used to monitor the low frequency components related to the rotor faults. In order to generalise the study, a comparison was performed between faulty machines and healthy, under different load conditions. The experimental tests show the encountered difficulties in the detection of the dynamic eccentricity under various load conditions because the spectral representation shows the existence of low frequency components for the healthy case, which are superimposed with the indicator components. These low frequency components offer an alternative way to the monitoring of eccentricity air-gap when the load is balanced

Static eccentricity fault modeling in permanent-magnet synchronous motors
(IEEE, 2016) Abdelli, Radia; Bouzida, Ahcene; Touhami, Omar; Ouadah, M'hamed
In this paper, a model based on the finite element analysis has been developed for healthy and eccentric PMSM. The proposed model is analyzed by time stepping Finite element method. The electromagnetic field distribution, air-gap magnetic flux density and the leakage inductances under healthy and eccentric rotor have been calculated. Meanwhile, the MCSA of the healthy and faulty PMSM is inspected under various static eccentricity levels
