Item A novel dual band-notch ultrawideband monopole antenna using parasitic stubs and slot(wiley, 2017) Guichi, Fella; Challal, Mouloud; Denidni, T. A.This paper presents a novel ultra-wideband (UWB) monopole antenna with dual band-notch characteristics. The proposed antenna consists of a V-shaped patch with a stair case defect fed by a 50 X transmission line and a semicircular defected ground plane. It is designed for rejection of dual frequency bands, that is, WiMAX (3.17– 3.85 GHz) and ITU (7.9–9.1 GHz). The 2 bands are achieved by using 2 parasitic stubs that are inserted on the patch, and an inverted U-shaped slot that is etched on the transmission line, respectively. The antenna has a nearly omnidirectional radiation pattern with an acceptable gain across the operating frequency band. A good agreement between the simulated and measured results indicates that the proposed UWB antenna design with overall size of 23 3 32 mm2 is suitable for WiMAX/ITU dual band-notch applicationsItem A 2.3-14 GHz UWB planar octagonal antenna with modified ground plane(Wiley Periodicals, 2013) Bitchikh, M.; Aksas, R.; Azrar, Arab; Kimouche, H.Item UWB coplanar waveguide octagonal antenna(Springer, 2016) Bitchikh, Mounira; Azrar, Arab; Aksas, RabiaItem New UWB antenna design for wireless communications(2012) Bithikh, M.; Aksas, R.; Kimouche, H.; Azrar, A.The presented work in this article concerns a new ultra-wideband antenna design with an octagonal configuration and reduced dimensions. Different prototypes have been simulated and implemented in the form of monopoles. These prototypes have shown an admissible agreement between simulations and measurements and ultra-wide bands running from 3.1 to 14 GHz for wireless applications. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
