Item Maximum power point tracking (MPPT) for photovoltaic system(2011) Malki, SihemThis thesis presents a theoretical study of maximum power point tracking (MPPT) for photovoltaic (PV) system. The study includes discussion of various MPPT algorithms and perform comparative tests of the two popular MPPT algorithms (the Perturbation and Observation algorithm and the Incremental and Conductance algorithm) using actual irradiance data. Some important applications of the MPPT for different loads are described; first the PV system with resistive load is discussed, the modeling and the simulation of the PV generator and the DC/DC converter is carried out using MATLAB software. After that a .study of PV water pumping system has been undertaken using DC motor and AC motor. A comparison between the performance of those systems with and without MPPT in terms of PV total energy produced and total volume of water pumped per day is carried out. Nous nous intéressons dans cette étude à la conversion de l'énergie solaire électromagnétique (rayonnement) en énergie électrique qui est la conversion photovoltaïque. In order to connect these facilities to the grid it is necessary to use an inverter, which is the main piece of this installation that is constituted of: 1. A photovoltaic generator. 2. A DC/DC converter to track the maximal power point. 3. An inverter uses as interface between the generator and the grid. For this topic, ower work is organized in three essential parts: 1. A description of the photovoltaic generator and parameters influencing the energy are giving in the mathematicals models used in simulation 2. A review on main choppers used in these facilities to track the maximal power point and methods used for the determination of the reference tension 3. Some historics about inverters used for connection to the utility, its principle of working with addition of static compensator and activates filtering of the harmonic functions, determination of the switch nature used and values of all components that constitute this inverter, follow-up by has simulation with MATLAB/SIMULINK5.0 of this system while adopting two technical of orders: PWM and by hysteretic Finally, the analysis of the results are given and we give perspectives for the future works and recommendations for the realization of this inverter
