Abstract

In the field of multi robot systems, robot navigation has become an interesting area for researchers to design algorithms that co-ordinate the movement and control the communication of multiple robots. The purpose of this project is to design a suitable framework which makes multiple robots to work as a team to perform their tasks and reach their goals. The multi-robots have to navigate in a communicating environment. Thus, RFID readers are used to get information from the environment; where several RFID tags are used as identifiers. Toward this goal, we have worked with an algorithm that allows the coordination between robots through RFID tags in the environment and through Wi-Fi with a computer. The project is broken into two main parts. In first part, the robots’ platform is implemented. The platform consists of two Arduino-based robots and a PC which coordinates the movement of the robots. Then, tests and experiments are performed to prove the efficiency of the system.
