Abstract
This thesis deals with the study, design and implementation of three fundamental parts of an RF/Microwave front-end receiver. The first is the synthesis and design of conventional microstrip low-pass and band-pass filters. Also, compact high performances low-pass and band-stop filters based on defected ground structure (DGS) are proposed. The second deals with 24 GHz microstrip low noise amplifiers (LNAs) design and implementation. The last part concerns design and implementation of compact down-conversion mixers (DCM) for K-Band applications. Afterward, new topology of double balanced DCM is presented. An experimental validation of the designed structures is performed successfully
