Abstract

The communications industry progress to high-speed wireless data transferand several competing technologies are emerging to replace the old ones. With this rapid technological evolution and market's demand, manufacturers of telecommunications equipment have thought of creating very powerful communication devices, which led to the development of WIMAX. This system offers a wide frequency band from 2 to 66 GHZ and replaces the existing technology by installing antennas which have a theoretical range of 50 KM at the rate of 75 Mbit/S.
