Abstract

This research study provides the analysis, simulation, and experimental investigation of selective harmonic elimination with pulse width modulation for three phase inverter using the particle swarm optimization method. By employing this modulation technique, the inverter output voltage will be improved while the switching components' lifespan will be increased. The paper presents the harmonic issue in an analytical manner. The dSPACE DS1104 controller board, a digital signal processor, has been used with the MATLAB environment to verify the method's correctness. The experimental results closely approximate the simulation findings, supporting earlier studies about the efficiency of the particle swarm optimization based selective harmonic elimination.
