Item Improvement of the Meca-Electrical Wind Pumping System(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc, 2023) Djalloul, Achour; Mohamed, KesraouiIn this paper an improvement in the mecha-electrical water pumping system is proposed in order to increase the efficiency, the reliability and the flexibility. PV solar panels are added to a system that composed of a wind turbine for mechanical driving of the piston pump. A water storage is used to charge a battery through a DC machine in case of abundance of wind energy. Reversely it will supply electricity in motoring situations where a mechanical support is needed by the wind turbine to drive the piston pump. Adding another renewable source like PV solar panels will increase the assurance of pumping water permanently especially in cut offs situations where even the water storage is not enough to charge the battery. The whole system is presented, electrically and mathematically modeled. Simulation work has been performed and satisfying results in terms of water quantity increase compared to the basic system have been obtained.Item Mechanical wind pumping system based on hydropumped storage(IEEE, 2022) Achour, Djalloul; Kesraoui, MohamedIn this paper, a new pumping system where a controlled storage has been integrated to a classical mechanical wind pumping system is proposed. The new system consists mainly of a wind turbine, a controlled storage and a piston pump. The objective of this developed system is to improve the standard system global power efficiency. First, a literature survey over what has been done up to now on wind pumping and pumped storage is presented. The details of the proposed system design are given. Then, the advantages of this new system compared to a classical one are shown. Finally, the developed wind pumping system and the standard mechanical wind pumping system were simulated in order to prove that the proposed system has the best results in terms of power efficiency and stored waterItem New concept of wind pumping system : introduction and state of the art(IEEE, 2020) Achour, Djalloul; Kesraoui, MohamedIn this paper a new concept of wind pumping system that combines the advantages of the mechanical wind pumping system and those of the electrically powered one is proposed. The system consists mainly of a wind turbine, a DC machine and storage facility. The whole system will be controlled in a goal to improve the total power efficiency. First, a literature survey over what has been done up to now on wind pumping is presented. The details of the proposed system design are given. Then, the advantages of the proposed system compared to actual ones are shown. Then since this system is a part of an accepted PRFU national research project 2020-2024, an Algerian windy site for its intended implementation is suggested. Finally the three wind pumping systems are simulated to prove that the developed one has the best results
