Abstract
This thesis focuses on the study, design and implementation of miniaturized planar antennas. The rst part presents the design, analysis and test of compact fractal shaped monopole antennas for dual-band application. The second part deals with design, analysis and implementation of compact tri-band antennas for wireless applications. The last part is dedicated
to the design of compact U-slot antenna backed by a cavity for colonoscopy application. The measured and simulation results have shown good agreement which validate the di erent proposed con gurations and the adopted design procedures
