This thesis focuses on the study, design and implementation of miniaturized planar antennas. The rst part presents the design, analysis and test of compact fractal shaped monopole antennas for dual-band application. The second part deals with design, analysis and implementation of compact tri-band antennas for wireless applications. The last part is dedicated to the design of compact U-slot antenna backed by a cavity for colonoscopy application. The measured and simulation results have shown good agreement which validate the di erent proposed con gurations and the adopted design proceduresen_US
